Marsha Player Lindeman, ARNP, MSN

FDOH Franklin and Gulf

Ms. Lindeman has been the Administrator for DOH Gulf since 2010 and DOH Franklin since 2012.  Ms. Lindeman administers a combined $4 million budget and provides leadership to her 60 exceptional public health employees in their two rural, coastal counties with a combined population of just over 30,000 residents. The two health departments play a critical role in mobilizing community partnerships and developing policies, plans and programs that support State and Local Public Health Priorities.

Ms. Lindeman also serves as the Statewide Public Health Nursing Director, providing support and guidance to CHD Nursing Directors in the areas of Clinical Performance; Performance Management & Quality Improvement; and Preparedness for Emerging Threats.  

Prior to this appointment, Ms. Lindeman held the positions of Executive Community Health Nursing Director in the DOH Division of Health Statistics and Performance Assessment; Registered Nursing Consultant for DOH Region 2 Public Health Preparedness; and Executive Nursing Director for more than 20 years at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, FL. 

With almost 40 years of healthcare leadership in both private and public health organizations, Ms. Lindeman’s areas of focus have been on Women’s and Children’s Health, Clinical Informatics, and Public Health. 

Ms. Lindeman earned BSN and MSN degrees from Florida State University.  She is an active member of the Florida Public Health Association, National Association of County and City Health Officials, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf Board of Directors, Big Bend Health Care Coalition Board of Directors, Apalachee Regional Planning Council’s Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board, and 14th Judicial Circuit Child Abuse Death Review Team.
